Welcome to the Secondary Section of El Gouna International School

Introduction

The International Secondary School caters for students from Year 7 to Year 12. We are fortunate to have a highly qualified and committed team of staff, who work tirelessly with all our students to ensure that every child reaches his/her potential. As the secondary school is small - fewer than 100 students - teachers know every student well and we manage to combine high professional standards with a real family atmosphere. Class sizes vary from just 2 or 3 students, to a maximum of 20, so teachers have time for every student, and can identify individuals strengths and needs.

In years 7 to 9, students follow the English National Curriculum for Key Stage 3.

In years 10 and 11, students follow a programme of IGCSE courses. These are internationally recognised qualifications from the Cambridge and Edexcel exam boards, accredited through the British Council. For further details of our IGCSE courses, please click here.

In Year 12, our students follow a programme of AS level courses. As we are a small school, the range of subjects is limited. However, many students have gone on to University from EGIS, including to such prestigious institutions as Harvard. For details of courses which may be available at AS level,please click here.
